The extension of the <br />Recovered Water Outfall will separate the outfall from the intake pipe ensuring that the majority of the <br />recovered water is drawn to the north end of the lake and that the portion of recovered water returning to the <br />plant intakes has undergone significant dilution. <br />Eight bids were received at the bid opening on May 4, 2010. Stellar J Corporation was the lowest responsive <br />bidder with a bid of $1,182,307.31, including sales tax. <br />Council previously approved $395,000 for design services and $2,000 for bid advertisement expenses. The <br />total expenditure for this account to date is $1,579,307.31. <br />RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br />Award the Contract for the Construction of the Recovered Water Outfall at the Water Filtration Plant to the <br />lowest responsive bidder, Stellar J Corporation, in the amount of $1,182,307.31 including sales tax, and <br />authorize the Mayor to sign the contract with Stellar J Corporation. <br />225 <br />
