Im <br />EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />This exhibit describes the scope of work to assist the City of Everett during construction phase of the <br />Recovered Water Outfall project at the City's Water Filtration Plant. Improvements to be constructed <br />include modifications to the recovered water pump station and construction of an outfall in Lake <br />Chaplain. <br />Task 600 — Submittal and RFI Reviews <br />The City will receive, distribute and administer the required submittals and RFIs from the construction <br />contractor. The Service Provider will provide review and comments on draft and final submittals as <br />requested by the City and route to the City Construction Manager. It is anticipated that the Service <br />Provider may review and/or provide information on the following: <br />• 02480 — HDPE pipe assembly and deployment plan <br />• 11210 - Shop drawings and performance curves for pumps and motors. <br />• 13122 — Design review and provide engineer's certification for anchor bolts in existing concrete <br />foundation <br />Task 700 — Construction Phase Assistance <br />The City shall provide overall construction management and daily observation. It is anticipated that the <br />Service Provider may conduct the following tasks at the direction of the City: <br />• Attend monthly construction meetings (1 person, up to 3 meetings) <br />• Attend contractor presentation of pipeline deployment plan (1 person) <br />• Observe one day of HDPE pipe fusion, anchor attachment and launching into lake <br />• Observe HDPE pipeline towing, in -lake staging and deployment (2 days) <br />• Review inspection dive at nearshore end and terminus, including DVD and report <br />• Review daily observation reports from City construction manager <br />Task 800 — Project Closeout <br />The Service Provider will conduct the following tasks following completion of construction: <br />• Be present onsite during startup of the pumps and outfall (1 persons) <br />• Review and comment on Contractor submitted records and ROV video <br />Task 900 — Undefined Services <br />As it is difficult to accurately predict all issues that may arise during construction phase, Task 900 is <br />included to provide a contingency fund for unanticipated and unidentified work. It is specifically <br />intended to allow payment to Cosmopolitan Engineering under this contract for scope changes that the <br />City determines to be necessary. Funds for this task will not be used without prior written approval from <br />the City. <br />Page 11 <br />M1 <br />
