The Chamber has been leasing space there since November 2003. Their lease provides for an original term of 4 years with two 3 -year option terms ("Option Term One" and "Option Term Two"). The Chamber exercised Option Term One in 2007, extending the lease through November 2010. The Chamber now wishes to exercise Option Term Two of their lease, extending the term through November 2013. Additionally, due to possible changes to the structure of their organization that may affect their need for the premises, they are seeking to amend the lease to include a clause that would allow them to terminate the lease upon 120 -days written notice to the City. RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Mayor to sign Lease Amendment No. 1 with the Everett Chamber of Commerce for space at the Everett Conference Center Building. -- ------ - - ---------------- -------------- ------ -- - 31
