'14E�/F.�ETT <br /> RESOLUTION # 3672 <br /> A RESOLUTION to support the Mosquito Fleet's requests for grants and loans from <br /> other transit policy making bodies. <br /> WHEREAS, public transportation is an increasingly critical issue in the Northwest; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett strives to support the development of other public and private <br /> agencies and organizations working toward the goals of mass transit; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Mosquito Fleet offers high capacity, high speed passenger ferry transportation <br /> to commuters; and <br /> WHEREAS, the services of the Mosquito Fleet could help mitigate the traffic congestion now <br /> experienced at peak hours on the I-5 and Highway 99 Corridors; <br /> WHEREAS, the Mosquito Fleet's ferry system represents the type of public-private <br /> partnership which will accelerate development of a comprehensive transportation system for <br /> the North Puget Sound Region; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT that we will encourage other transit policy making bodies to give positive <br /> consideration to Mosquito Fleet's request for loans and grants.. <br /> Councilperson introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 30th day of Sept . , 1992 <br /> 6---11AA1 <br /> Council President <br />
