/14b%/-/--A1 <br /> EL/E?ETT <br /> RESOLUTION NO.,, 9/3 <br /> A RESOLUTION endorsing the Everett Area Chamber of Commerce's <br /> FOREVERETT Project <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett plays a vital role in the continued growth and <br /> development of Snohomish County, and has the existing infrastructure to <br /> accommodate new businesses in our downtown corridor; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett's downtown corridor is a designated urban <br /> growth area under the growth Management Act; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett has an existing comprehensive land use plan <br /> which allows for an accelerated permitting and project approval process for <br /> downtown corridor development; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City's downtown zoning code allows for commercial and <br /> urban densities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City's downtown corridor is fully linked to high capacity <br /> transit systems; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Chamber of Commerce's FOREVERETT project is <br /> geared to publicizing and assisting new and existing businesses to develop and <br /> expand facilities in the Everett downtown corridor; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT to endorse the FOREVERETT project and <br /> strongly recommend that private citizens, development interests, and state and <br /> national government entities fully support the work of this organization and its <br /> goals to further the development and vitalization of downtown Everett. <br /> ilk Adl, <br /> Cbuncilperson ntroducing 'eso upon <br /> PASSED and APPROVED thisa5 day of et. , 1992. <br /> if,, / <br /> President <br />
