V r <br /> EVERETT <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 45400 <br /> A RESOLUTION of the City of Everett, Washington declaring <br /> intent to issue water and sewer revenue bonds to <br /> reimburse certain expenditures towards predesign, design <br /> and construction of Phase I of the Everett Water <br /> Treatment Plant Expansion Project. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of. Everett, Washington (the "City") owns and <br /> operates a combined sewer collection and treatment and water supply <br /> and distribution system; and <br /> WHEREAS, increased consumption, expansion of the customer base <br /> and changes in water quality regulations require expansion of the <br /> City' s Water Treatment Plant; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore approved the <br /> predesign report for the Water Treatment Plant Expansion Project, <br /> including a three-phase construction plan (the "Project") , Phase <br /> of which Project involves the expansion of the Water Treatment <br /> Plant to a sustained production capacity of 100 million gallons per <br /> day and installing certain other improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS, certain predesign and engineering work, as well as <br /> construction of a fluoridation system has heretofore been <br /> authorized by the City in furtherance of Phase I of the Project; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City intends to ultimately finance Phase I of the <br /> Project through the issuance of sewer and water revenue bonds <br /> sometime in 1992 , and the City intends and has previously planned <br /> to reimburse expenditures towards Phase I of the Project through <br /> the issuance of such bonds; <br />
