What helped him through that loss was to know that his grandpa is <br /> in a better place and that someday Kemper will see him again. <br /> Kemper is inspired by his family, and he hopes to someday become an <br /> architect. He describes himself as athletic, thoughtful and funny. <br /> Elliot Fehlen <br /> Elliot Fehlen is a 10-year-old 5th grader at Northshore Christian Academy. <br /> Elliot is gifted in many areas including music. He plays bass and piano and <br /> even helps with the sound system when he participates with the worship <br /> team at church. He also enjoys drama and shared a leading role in his <br /> school Christmas program. He participates in a homework club where he <br /> helps younger students with their homework. He has also helped assemble <br /> and distribute 2,500 backpacks to school age children through a program <br /> at his church. <br /> Elliot worked on construction projects, handed out rice and beans to poor <br /> communities and helped host a carnival for children at an orphanage <br /> during a mission trip to Mexico in 2008. <br /> This year, Elliot took on a new role. He became a foster brother to eight <br /> different foster children. He also has two biological siblings. He recently <br /> told his parents it would be OK to exchange his single bed for bunk beds so <br /> the family would have more beds to take in more foster children. Elliot is <br /> always ready to give of what he has to help others. <br /> Elliot is a strong student and strives to do his best in all subjects. He also <br /> enjoys playing football. <br /> His inspiration comes from God, his parents, church leaders and school <br /> teachers. He hopes to someday become a band or science teacher or a <br /> basketball player. <br />
