Ages 12-15
Steven Rea
Steven Rea is a 12-year-old fifth grader at Northshore Christian Academy.
Steven is very active in Boy Scout Troop 91, which is a tremendous vehicle
for developing confidence and leadership skills. Last year, at his first week
long scout camp, Steven was the only first-year scout who earned an
Archery merit badge. Steven even helped on an Eagle Scout project to
renovate a local dog park.
Steven also plays soccer in the Washington Regional Club League, which is
a league that consists of the top 20 clubs from around the state and is the
highest level of soccer offered to youth in Washington.
One of the most unique experiences for Steven, and what has shaped his
character more than anything else, is his four mission trips to Lar Batista
Children's Home in Brazil. He was only 7 years old when he took his first
mission trip. Steven shows true compassion for the orphan children he
meets on the trips, and considers these trips to be his greatest
achievement so far in his life.
Steven also recently assisted his school food drive to help Haitian refugees
following a major earthquake.
The greatest obstacle that Steven has overcome has been learning how to
read with dyslexia. Steven's inspiration comes from his mom and dad, and
he hopes someday to become a pro soccer player or an engineer. He
describes himself as adventurous, athletic and entertaining.
Divya Advani
Divya Advani is a 13-year-old 7th grader at Evergreen Middle School.
