Although the closure was preapproved through 2011,the parade organizers are requesting the <br /> closure of the additional blocks of 24th and 25th streets between Rockefeller and Oakes for staging. They are <br /> also requesting closure of Wetmore and Colby avenues be extended one block to Pacific to ensure safe traffic <br /> flow. One hour was added to the scheduled closure to accommodate a later parade start time. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Authorize the following additional block closures and extended time for the 2010 Fourth of July parade: 24th <br /> and 25th streets between Rockefeller and Oakes for staging; Wetmore and Colby avenues extended one block <br /> to Pacific; and extend time an additional hour to 4 p.m. to accommodate a 1 p.m. parade start time. <br /> 19 <br />
