Amount Budgeted $4,210,000 Expenditure Required $2,000 Account Number(s): UP 3398-1 Budget Remaining $3,628,000 Additional Required 0 DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: The Sewer System Replacement and Capacity Improvements Project has been separated into two parts. The initial project that is ready for construction is as follows: Sewer "L - North Area" includes construction of the following: • Approximately 4,700 Linear Feet of 12 to 24 -inch diameter gravity sewer pipe on Lombard Ave. from 10th Street to 16th Street and on the 1000 and 1100 blocks of Oakes Ave. and Rockefeller Ave. Full width street restoration with new sidewalks and curbs is included. • Approximately 900 Linear Feet of 12 to 21 -inch diameter gravity sewer in an easement within the Providence Everett Medical Center expansion site. Existing sewer lines, lateral connections and manholes in north Everett are Combined Sewers (CS) and are old and deteriorated and need to be replaced with new, larger diameter pipes generally in the same location. This project will also reduce the potential for future sewer backups in the area of 1300 and 1400 Oakes Ave and Lombard Ave. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize Call for Bids for the construction of Sewer System Replacement and Capacity Improvements "L— North Area". 115
