This bid establishes a two-year fixed-price contract for rental <br />equipment. <br />Invitations to bid were sent to 19 potential bidders, advertised in the Herald, and posted on the City's <br />website. Responses were received as shown on the attached bid summary. Staff is recommending primary <br />awards to Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation and United Rentals Northwest Inc., with secondary awards <br />going to to Sound Equipment Rental & Sales, Star Rentals, Shaffer Crane & Equipment, Pape Rents, Pape <br />Machinery, and RSC Equipment Rental. Awarding primary and secondary awards ensures that City <br />departments have access to all of the many types of equipment commonly used during heavy construction <br />periods.
