I <br />EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />Task 1 — Federal and State Legislative and Regulatory Actions <br />Description <br />This task covers the tracking of Proposed Federal and State legislation and regulatory actions related to <br />the City's forestry and watershed management responsibilities. <br />Services To Be Performed <br />As directed, participate in the review of proposed Federal and State legislative and regulatory efforts <br />related to the City forestry and watershed management responsibilities. Assist with the preparation of <br />comments, attend hearings and meetings with City staff, trade organizations, and other agencies and <br />officials when applicable. <br />Task 2 — Federal and State Regulation Compliance <br />Description <br />Assist with the tracking and compliance with Federal and State regulations related to the City's forestry <br />management activities. <br />Services To Be Performed <br />Assist with the preparation of contracts, agreements, reports and permits to insure compliance with all <br />State and Federal rules and regulations that pertain to the City's forest management activities and assist <br />with the compliance of the contracts and permits. <br />Task 3 — Wildlife Habitat Management Plan (WHMP) Implementation <br />Description <br />Assist with the preparation of the City's timber sales and other forest management activities that are <br />required by the WHMP. This preparation activity includes meetings with Jackson Project co -licensees <br />(PUD) biologists to insure compliance with requirements of the WHMP. <br />Assist in the preparation of reports to Federal and State agencies and Tribes as required by the WHMP. <br />Attend meeting with Federal and State agencies and Tribes to review the reports and address any other <br />questions or concerns by the agencies or Tribes. <br />Services To Be Performed <br />Conduct field work to complete the layout of timber sales as required under the WHMP. This will include <br />the location and design of forest access roads, sale boundary design and location, snag and coarse woody <br />
