WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public workshop on March 16, 2010 to discuss and <br />consider potential amendments to the Zoning Code related to re -use of existing building <br />spaces; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on May 4, 2010 to consider public <br />testimony and make a recommendation concerning zoning regulations for re -use of existing <br />building spaces; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds: <br />1. The proposed amendment is consistent with the applicable provisions of the Everett <br />Growth Management Comprehensive Plan; and <br />2. The proposed amendment bears a substantial relation to the public health, safety and <br />welfare; and <br />3. The proposed amendment promotes the best longterm interests of the Everett <br />community. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission recommends that EMC <br />Section 19.22 be amended as proposed in the attached Exhibit A. <br />4-t Planning Commission Chairperson Date <br />Planning Commission Secretary <br />For: Commissioner Hale, Commissioner Sand, Commissioner Murphy, and Acting <br />Chairman Olivers <br />Against: None <br />Absent: Chairman Newland, Commissioner Sosin, Commissioner Chase, and <br />Commissioner Alder <br />Abstain: None <br />62 <br />
