1 <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />An Ordinance relating to Adoption of State Traffic Infractions, <br />Amending Section 3 of Ordinance 2008-94 (EMC 46.04.030). <br />Whereas, in 1994 the City adopted by reference the Washington Model Traffic <br />Ordinance ("MTO"), Chapter 308-330 WAC, as the traffic ordinance of the City; and <br />Whereas, the City desires to amend its traffic ordinance consistent with changes in State <br />law; and <br />Whereas, the Everett City Council finds that the provisions of this Ordinance are <br />necessary for the public health, safety and welfare; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br />Section 1 <br />Section 3 of Ordinance 2008-94 (EMC 46.04.030), which reads as follows: <br />Certain sections of state law adopted by reference. <br />The following sections of Washington state law are adopted by reference in all respects as <br />though such sections were set forth herein in full: Sections 1, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11 of Chapter 275, <br />1994 Laws of the state of Washington. <br />Is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Certain sections of state law adopted by reference. <br />The following sections of Washington state law are adopted by reference in all respects as <br />though such sections were set forth herein in full: Sections 1, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11 of Chapter 275, <br />1994 Laws of the state of Washington; Section 2 of Chapter 417, 2007 Laws of the state of <br />Washington, as amended by Section 3 of Chapter 223, 2010 Laws of the state of <br />Washington (RCW 46.61.667)• Section 1 of Chapter 416 2007 Laws of the state of <br />Washington as amended by Section 4 of Chapter 223, 2010 Laws of the state of <br />Washington (RCW 46.61.668): and Section 1 of Chapter 413, 2005 Laws of the state of <br />Washing ,ton as amended by Section 1 Chapter 83 2007 .Laws of the state of Washington <br />and Section 1 of Chapter 252 2010 Laws of the state of Washington (RCW 46.61.212). <br />Section 2: General duty. <br />It is expressly the purpose of this Ordinance to provide for and promote the health, safety and <br />welfare of the general public and not to create or otherwise establish or designate any particular <br />class or group of persons who will or should be especially protected or benefited by the terms of <br />2 <br />
