1. 4 <br /> sTATg <br /> oyo <br /> yL 1889 <br /> MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br /> WASHINGTON TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMISSION <br /> Target Zero Teams <br /> Snohomish County DUI & Target Zero Task Force <br /> Law Enforcement <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, pursuant to Chapter 39.34 RCW, is made and entered into <br /> by and between the Everett Police Department (EVTPD) and the <br /> Washington Traffic Safety Commission (WTSC). <br /> TERM: July 1 to Sept 30, 2010 <br /> AMOUNT: NOT TO EXCEED $4,000 <br /> CFDA # 20.601 <br /> IT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS AGREEMENT to provide funding for <br /> Snohomish County Law Enforcement Agencies to participate in the Target <br /> Zero Teams project. <br /> GOAL: to reduce the number of people killed or seriously injured by impaired <br /> drivers in Snohomish County through aggressive, multi-jurisdictional, high- <br /> visibility patrols using an integrated systems approach to traffic safety which <br /> is evidenced-based and targets the locations where the most safety benefit <br /> can be realized. <br /> IT IS, THEREFORE, MUTUALLY AGREED THAT: <br /> 1. SCOPE OF WORK: The Target Zero Team DUI patrols will be deployed at <br /> times and locations where data indicates that the most safety benefit can <br /> be realized as determined by the Snohomish County DUI and Target Zero <br /> Task Force. <br /> 2. CONDITIONS: EVTPD will deploy highly skilled officers in coordination <br /> with other Snohomish County Law Enforcement agencies, the Snohomish <br /> County DUI &Target Zero Task Force, and the WSP District 7 Target Zero <br /> Team to generate the highest amount of deterrence possible. <br /> EVTPD certifies that all of the officers that participate in DUI emphasis <br /> patrols under the terms of this agreement are SFST trained. Officers <br /> participating on the Target Zero Teams project must be proficient in <br /> conducting standard field sobriety tests.
