The NCI team would work to reduce repeat <br /> offenses by persons under DOC supervision, provide information to the community and other law <br /> enforcement agencies regarding offenders who had prior DOC supervision, and reduce criminal activity <br /> through combined DOC and police officer presence, enforcement and/or referral to services. The MOU <br /> describes operational components for the team, resources committed by each agency, and how the team's <br /> work should be documented and evaluated. Each entity indemnifies and holds each other harmless. The <br /> primary location of the activities would be within Everett city limits. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the State of Washington Department of <br /> Corrections establishing a Neighborhood Corrections Initiative team. <br /> 31 <br />
