EVERETT <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 3563 <br /> A resolution to repair one fire pumper sole source. <br /> Whereas, Fire Engine One was removed for service November 14 , 1991 <br /> and taken to Dunkin Diesel Service for evaluation and <br /> Whereas, Dunkin Diesel dismantled the engine and discovered major <br /> damage and <br /> Whereas, Dunkin Diesel has presented physical evidence accepted by <br /> the Fire Department validating their conclusion and <br /> Whereas, the cost reassembling the engine unrepaired is prohibitive <br /> and <br /> Whereas, Engine One is a first line piece of apparatus that cannot <br /> be out of service during a 45 - 60 day bid call without jeopardizing <br /> service. <br /> Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of <br /> Everett that the Purchasing Division is authorized to order the <br /> repair of Fire Engine One sole source from Dunkin Diesel Service. <br /> Repair estimate is $16, 400 . 00 tax included. <br /> Councilman introducing resolution <br /> Passed and approved this 4th day of December 1991. <br /> &A104 <br /> President f the Council <br />
