RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A Resolution by the City Council of Everett regarding the CSO Partnership <br /> legislative proposal for a national policy on controlling CSOs. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett has already committed over <br /> $18,000,000 to control the frequency and volume of combined sewer <br /> overflows (CSOs) into our receiving waters; <br /> WHEREAS, the CSO Partnership, a nationwide affiliation of cities <br /> with CSOs, has developed a legislative proposal that will allow cities to <br /> control CSO problems in an environmentally sound and cost-effective <br /> manner; <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett has been a member of the CSO <br /> Partnership for two years; <br /> WHEREAS, representatives of the City have reviewed the <br /> legislative proposal of the CSO Partnership; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor is hereby <br /> authorized to draft and sign a letter endorsing the CSO control legislative <br /> proposal of the CSO Partnership; and to solicit the support of Congressman <br /> _ Al Swift regarding the legislative proposal of the CSO Partnership. <br /> 'Councilman Introducing Resolution <br /> Passed and approved by City Council this /� day 041991 . <br /> 111 E <br /> Council Presi.ent <br /> ATTEST: <br />
