Schedule B covered a scope of work to remove contaminated soil from the GTS Drywall site. At the time of bid,the engineer's estimate of the quantity of contaminated soil to be removed from the project site was 6000 tons. The estimated quantity was based on a limited number of soil borings. The actual quantity of contaminated soil that was excavated, tested and then removed from the site was 10,306.32 tons. The estimated quantity of the bid item 7 in Schedule B needs to be increased to 10,606.23 tons and the total amount for bid item 7 in Schedule B needs to be increased to $480,789.83. This change increases the contract value by$200,889.83. As a result of this change order the contract price will increase from$2,717,211.55 to $2,918,101.38. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign Change Order#1 with KLB Construction,Inc. for Everett Riverfront Surcharge Phase 3 Project in the amount of$200,889.83. • 1
