Shoreline Master Programs <br /> and amendments must also be reviewed and approved by the Washington State Department of Ecology <br /> (Ecology). Ecology completed a public and agency review and by letter dated September 1, 2010, stated that <br /> the City's amendments are consistent with the policy of the Shoreline Management Act,the applicable <br /> guidelines and implementing rules subject to required changes identified in Attachment B of their letter. <br /> The.attached ordinance implements Ecology's required changes. It will make the SMP amendments <br /> consistent with State legislation that became effective after City Council's approval of Ordinance 3129-09, <br /> specify ordinance number and adoption date of the critical area regulations that will apply in the Marshland <br /> Subarea, and state that the reasonable use provisions of the critical area ordinance will not apply in shoreline <br /> jurisdiction in the Marshland Subarea. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Adopt Ordinance Amending the Shoreline Master Program Relating to the Marshland Subarea Plan, <br /> amending Ordinance No. 3129-09. <br /> 27 <br />
