The goal is to continue reducing traffic related deaths and serious injuries by engaging in high visibility enforcement patrols in the areas of impaired driving, speeding and occupant protection. The allocation for the Everett Police Department's participation in speed enforcement patrols between July 15, 2011 and August 7, 2011 is $3,500.00. The Memorandum of Understanding sets forth the requirements for the Everett Police Department to participate in the project and receive the allotted funding. RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Mayor to sign a 2010 Memorandum of Understanding with the Washington Traffic Safety Commission regarding participation in high visibility enforcement traffic safety emphasis patrols.
