The incentive
to the City amounts to roughly 65% of the replacement cost($ 249,333.00), and longer signal service life
(LED's last about 7-10 years). Since implementation, the traffic signal electric cost has decreased roughly
$40,000 per year. This project will return$67,581.00 to the General Fund.
The funding sources for this bulb replacement project are:
Snohomish County PUD $ 249,333.00
Fund 009—General Gov.Non-Dept. 200,666.00
Total $ 449,999.00
RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council):
Adopt an ordinance closing a special improvement project entitled, "2008 LED Energy Conservation
Project," Fund 303, Program 079, as established by Ordinance No. 3082-08.
7
