The FY 2010 Agreement with the State <br /> Department of Commerce relates to use of grant program funding to improve the criminal justice <br /> and community response to violence against women in Snohomish County. The grant funds <br /> from the State to the City amount of$34,331,to be used for law enforcement training. This <br /> interagency agreement was approved by City Council on September 1, 2010. <br /> This budget amendment adds $34,331 to both the grant revenue and expenditure budgets. <br /> 2010-2011 STOP Violence Against Women Formula Grant 002 3331657001 34,331 <br /> Increase Intergovt payments budget 031 5920000520 34,331 <br /> Department Code Rev Exp FB <br /> GGA-16 Library Amendment-Renew Washington WSL Grant 11.0A 4,000 4,000 <br /> GGA-16 <br /> The Library applied for and has received the Renew Washington Communications grant for the <br /> Everett Public Library.The funding source for this grant is the Washington State Library with <br /> support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The purpose of this grant is to help libraries <br /> initiate new services, enhance existing services, conduct outreach and partnership efforts, or <br /> complete other activities that are identified as important to the library in addressing the needs of <br /> people searching for access to employment-related information, resources, and services. In <br /> Everett, this grant will be used to create a brochure that will be distributed to community <br /> decision makers and stakeholders to communicate the value of the library.
