<br /> consideration include,but are not limited to, requesting ambulance service based
<br /> on a rotational basis,based on the closest unit, or based on an automatic vehicle
<br /> locating system implemented in the public dispatch center by the ambulance
<br /> companies with the approval of the fire department. The fire chief is authorized to
<br /> establish procedures and guidelines for implementing the designated approach for
<br /> emergency medical service transport.
<br /> B. Notwithstanding any provision herein,the fire department shall have the
<br /> discretion of requesting a specific agency or company when it is deemed to be in
<br /> the best interests of the patient or the city.
<br /> Section 3. Corrections
<br /> The City Clerk and the codifiers of this ordinance are authorized to make necessary
<br /> corrections to this ordinance including, but not limited to, the correction of scrivener's
<br /> and clerical errors, references, ordinance numbering, section/subsection numbers and any
<br /> references thereto.
<br /> Section 4. Severability
<br /> The City Council hereby declares that should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause or
<br /> phrase of this ordinance be declared invalid for any reason, it is the intent of the City
