Jackson Hydroelectric Project, a Historic Properties Management Plan <br /> was developed with the stakeholders for managing historic properties affected by the Jackson Project. The <br /> City's Diversion Dam(a Jackson Project facility) was found to be eligible for the National Register of <br /> Historic Places and thus, comes under the management plan. The City has been invited to concur in the <br /> Programmatic Agreement between the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the Washington State <br /> Historic Preservation Officer,which allows the City to participate in Section 106 of the National Historic <br /> Preservation Act consultations under the terms of the Agreement. <br /> The Programmatic Agreement stipulates the implementation of the Historic Properties Management Plan by <br /> the PUD and their reporting requirements, as well as, dispute resolution and amendment and termination <br /> procedures for the signatory parties. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the Programmatic Agreement between the Federal Energy Regulatory <br /> Commission and the Washington State Historic Preservation Officer signifying the City's concurrence. <br /> 3 <br />
