406 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. /94(7- 93 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending the Zoning Map of the City of Everett <br /> as provided by Ordinance 1671-89 as amended (Title 19, <br /> Everett Municipal Code) rezoning Lots 1 and 2 of Short <br /> Subdivision #38-92 to R-2, Single Family Medium Density <br /> Residential . <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett City Council finds that on May 4, 1993 , the <br /> Planning Commission of the City of Everett held a public hearing <br /> concerning a rezone regarding the hereinafter described property <br /> from R-3 and B-1 with Contract to R-2 , Single Family Medium <br /> Density Residential , and as a result of that hearing, the <br /> Planning Commission recommends the rezone of said properties from <br /> R-3 and B-1 with Contract to R-2 ; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett City Council finds that the best interests <br /> of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Everett <br /> will be met by this rezone; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett City Council finds that the hereinafter <br /> described property should be rezoned to R-2 , Single Family Medium <br /> Density Residential; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That the Everett City Council does hereby find <br /> that the zoning change hereinafter set forth is consistent with <br /> the applicable provisions of the Everett General Plan; bears a <br /> substantial relation to the public health, safety and welfare; <br /> and promotes the best long term interests of the Everett <br /> Community. <br /> Section 2 : That the Zoning Map of the City of Everett, as <br /> established by Ordinance No. 1671-89 as amended (Title 19, <br /> Everett Municipal Code ) , is hereby amended from R-3 and B-1 with <br /> Contract to R-2 , Single Family Medium Density for the following <br /> described property attached as Exhibit A: <br />
