World Wide Video v. Tukwila, 117 Wn. 2d 382 (1991) found that
Tukwila improperly regulated adult use businesses with
predominantly take-home merchandise;
B. Ordinance No. 1860-92 established interim zoning regulations
for adult bookstores, adult retail stores and adult video
stores to provide the City with an opportunity to evaluate
their secondary adverse impacts;
C. The City's Police Department and Department of Planning and
Community Development have developed a work plan to conduct
research to make this evaluation, which research is not
complete as of this time;
D. It is anticipated that legislation will be introduced in the
1993 Legislature concerning the zoning of adult use
businesses which might effect the City's adult use zoning
regulations; and
E. The City Council held a public hearing to consider the
extension of the interim regulations set forth in Ordinance
No. 1860-92 .
