Approval of this renewal will continue to provide transit benefits on <br /> buses,trains, and light rail to 754 City employees, as well as subsidize vanpool benefits for 22 employees, at <br /> a total cost of$40,647.74. The additional cost is due to an increase in fares in the region as well as an <br /> increase in the vanpool subsidy level. The cost of this benefit is allocated to City departments according to <br /> budgeted FTE counts and registered vanpool participants. <br /> This program encourages all employees to take advantage of public transportation to meet their commuting <br /> needs. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the 2010-2011 ORCA Business Account Agreement between the City of Everett <br /> and Community Transit. <br /> 11 <br />
