The agreement <br /> required the City to execute and record a Conservation Easement on the property purchased with the funds. <br /> This action is to authorize the Mayor to sign the required Grant of Conservation Easement. <br /> The City proposes to acquire an approximate 1.78 acre parcel of property located at 528 Madison Street. <br /> The proposed acquisition,which includes the purchase price, appraisal costs,investigative studies, and all <br /> closing costs, will be paid for using Conservation Futures funds as provided for in the agreement with <br /> Snohomish County. <br /> The Conservation Easement sets forth three major City responsibilities for the property,which include: <br /> maintenance of the property in an open space configuration for passive public recreation, submittal of an <br /> annual report to the county regarding the property's status, and submittal of a long term maintenance and <br /> development plan. Additionally,the City will need to sign the property in a manner that lists Snohomish <br /> County as a participant in its acquisition. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to execute the Grant of Conservation Easement to Snohomish County for property <br /> located at 528 Madison Street. <br /> 17 <br />
