The parcel is <br /> approximately 1.78 acres and is developed with a single family residence. The proposed acquisition price is <br /> $340,000. The property is located in the Evergreen Neighborhood and on the south border of the View <br /> Ridge/Madison Neighborhood. <br /> The Parks Six-Year Capital Improvement Plan identifies the need for acquisition and easement projects, such <br /> as this proposed acquisition, to reduce the deficit of small neighborhood parks and further the objectives <br /> identified in the Parks Strategic Plan. <br /> Funding of up to $500,000 has been made available to the City using Snohomish County Conservation <br /> Futures funds under an agreement between the City of Everett and Snohomish County dated August 12, <br /> 2010. The Conservation Futures funding will be used for the total costs of the acquisition including the <br /> purchase price, appraisal costs, investigative studies, and all closing costs. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign Purchase and Sale Agreement with Janice Deckmann for the acquisition of <br /> property located at 528 Madison Street for park purposes. <br /> 1 <br />
