This equipment is available from a competitively bid <br /> Washington State contract. The City has an interlocal cooperative purchasing agreement with the State that <br /> allows the City to make purchases from the State's competitively awarded contracts in lieu of soliciting bids <br /> on its own. <br /> This backhoe has been added to the 2011 approved replacement list and will replace a 1996 Caterpillar 416B. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the purchase of a Caterpillar 420E Backhoe from Washington State Contract#00410 in the <br /> amount of$83,737.84 including Washington State Sales Tax. <br /> 43 <br />
