CITY OF EVERETT <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS <br /> The City participated in the projects listed below through actively recruiting new businesses, bringing <br /> developers together with investors, working to improve the availability of a qualified workforce, <br /> improving legislation to help existing businesses grow and create opportunities to attract new business, <br /> and working to provide amenities and community activities that enhance the quality of life and make <br /> Everett an attractive place to live and work. <br /> PROJECT COMMUNITY IMPACT <br /> Expansion of Providence Hospital and New$500 million medical tower and $52 million Cancer Center <br /> relocation of Donovan Homes at the Colby campus. Provided more than 2,000 construction <br /> jobs and will provide 1,800 permanent jobs by 2025. <br /> Potala Village-(Dargey Enterprises) A$22.3 million, 150,000 sf, mixed-use residential/ <br /> retail/restaurant building on the corner of Pacific and Rucker. <br /> 750 temporary construction jobs. Permanent jobs not known at <br /> this time. <br /> OGO (Dargey Enterprises) Will lease restaurant space in Potala Village. Will provide 10 to <br /> 14 jobs. <br /> Farmers' Market (Dargey Enterprises) An estimated $47.5 million, 313,000 sf, mixed use <br /> residential/retail building on Grand Ave, between Wall and <br /> Pacific Ave. In design phase. <br /> Mazatlan (Dargey Enterprises) Will lease restaurant space in Potala Village. Will provide 14 to <br /> 18 jobs. <br /> Schack Art Center and Artspace artist A new$23.2 million, 96,000 sf, arts center and artist live-work <br /> lofts facility on Hoyt Avenue. Created 55 temporary construction <br /> jobs, 30 to 40 part-time and 7 full-time jobs, when fully <br /> operational. Serves as a business incubator for artists. City <br /> surplus property was provided with favorable financing terms, <br /> and facility grant funding for the project. <br /> Supported the expansion of the Created capital investment,jobs, and amenities for citizens. <br /> Everett Mall New businesses include Best Buy,TJ Max, Bed Bath & Beyond, <br /> PetSmart, Dave's BBQ, Quizno's, Old Navy, and Borders Books. <br /> Fluke expansion Creates jobs and serves business retention goal. <br /> Korry Esterline Aerospace supplier of electronic operator interfaces.
