Promote VIC locations on Everett and SCTB's web sites, visitor guide listing, and in <br /> mailings whenever possible. Notify local callers about resources available at VICs. List <br /> VICs as a resource for information in media newsletters and other bureau publications <br /> whenever possible. <br /> 5. Support the city of Everett, The Everett Area Chamber of Commerce and all area <br /> chambers and cities by promoting their communities tourism assets through direct <br /> referral and display of marketing materials at VICs. <br /> 6. Provide opportunities for Everett and area tourism businesses to donate products and <br /> services, coupons, and other give-aways to be used for training, education and the <br /> recognition of volunteers. Distribute at volunteer meetings, fam tours and recognition <br /> events. <br /> 7. Provide visitors at all SCTB VICs with the official Snohomish County Visitor Guide and bi- <br /> annual Calendar of Events that are concise and user-friendly. Distribute 50,000 <br /> Snohomish County Visitor Guides and 55,000 Snohomish County Calendar of Events. <br /> Assist with distribution of these resources to community locations such as libraries, city <br /> halls and lodging facilities. Additionally provide the Everett visitors guide and other <br /> supporting collateral to Everett locations as noted above. <br /> 8. Market Everett and Snohomish County communities to volunteer staff through quarterly <br /> familiarization tours on a rotating basis. Familiarization tours in 2011 are scheduled to <br /> include: <br /> a. Edmonds Earn Tour <br /> b. East Snohomish County with an emphasis on Highway 2 communities. <br /> c. South Snohomish County with an emphasis on Bothell and Mill Creek. <br /> d. New Happenings Tour to include new tourism attractions in the county expected <br /> to be open, including the Hilbulb Cultural Center in Tulalip. <br /> Community Relations <br /> 1. Send out at least four press releases to area media supporting the activities of all the VIC <br /> locations. <br /> 2. Host and/or participate in at least two community-centered activities that help to bring <br /> area residents into the VIC locations. <br /> 3. Position VICs as essential partners in the success of local events providing a major <br /> avenue for distribution of information and materials. <br /> 4. Provide local communities, chambers and businesses outlets for their tourism <br /> promotional materials at the VICs. <br /> 5. Distribution of the official Snohomish County Visitors Guide and Calendar of Events to <br /> lodging facilities, city halls, libraries, chambers and all visitor centers in the community <br /> and the Everett visitors guide to all Everett based lodging facilities, city hall, libraries, <br /> chamber and VIC. <br /> 6.
