<br /> The Everett Police Department has served as the Grant Administrator for the STOP Violence
<br /> Against Women Formula Grant program since 1997. The FY 2010 Agreement with the State
<br /> Department of Commerce relates to use of grant program funding to improve the criminal justice
<br /> and community response to violence against women in Snohomish County. The grant funds from
<br /> the State to the City in the amount of$34,331,to be used for law enforcement training, were
<br /> approved by City Council on September 1, 2010.
<br /> This re-appropriation carries forward the remaining amount of$26,530 to the 2011 budget.

<br /> The Everett Police Department was awarded $32,073 in grant money from the Washington State
<br /> Parks and Recreation Commission.The grant period is from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011.
<br /> This grant is to assist with local marine law enforcement efforts. Overtime expenditures of the
<br /> remaining grant funds for On-the-Water Patrols, Boating Safety classes, and emphasis patrol to
<br /> enforce boating under-the-influence will continue through June 2011.
<br /> This budget re-appropriation carries forward the remaining $8,994 to the 2011 budget.
