9 <br /> ATTACHMENT A <br /> DEFINITIONS <br /> A. Regular Transactions: A transaction that includes a tax return with a bar code that can be <br /> read with a standard optical reader on the tax return form and standardized envelope for remittance. <br /> The information contained in the bar code will include the account number, name, and tax period. <br /> The gross income ("Paid Amount" on current B & 0 Form) and remitted amount must be keyed by <br /> the Service Provider. Regular transactions will not include those transactions, agreed upon between <br /> the City and Service Provider, including 1) the check dollar value and tax return "Amount Paid" do <br /> not match, 2) there are multiple checks or tax returns associated with a single transaction. <br /> B. Manual transactions: Manual transactions are defined as those transactions agreed upon <br /> between the City and Service Provider, including 1) there are multiple the cks or tax returns <br /> associated with a single transaction, 2) there is a check with a name and account number, but no tax <br /> return, 3) the tax return form submitted does not have a bar code. <br /> C. Exceptions: Exception transactions will be defined as those transactions mutually agreed upon <br /> between the City and Service Provider, including 1)there is an amount due on the tax return, but no <br /> check, 2) any items unable to be processed based on the processing business rules as mutually <br /> agreed to by the City and Service Provider, 3) illegible information on the tax return. 4) payments <br /> not drawn on a US financial institution, 5) damaged items or improper banking MICR, or other <br /> miscellaneous items or correspondence mutually agreed to as unable to be processed. <br /> D. Indexing: Indexing is defined as routine data entry of data fields from the tax form not <br /> provided in the bar code. <br /> Notes: <br /> 1. Gross Income is defined as the"Paid Amount" field on the current B & 0 form. <br /> 2. Multiple transactions in the same envelope are billed the transaction rate per tax return <br /> 3.
