• <br /> 6 <br /> WHEREAS,the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing to take public testimony <br /> regarding the proposed Everett Downtown Historic Preservation Plan;and <br /> WHEREAS,the Planning Commission adopted a resolution recommending the City Council <br /> adopt the Everett Downtown Historic Preservation Plan;and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council finds that the Everett Downtown Historic Preservation Plan <br /> implements the Everett Comprehensive Plan and Downtown Plan and promotes the best long- <br /> term interests of the Everett community; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES THE <br /> FOLLOWING: • <br /> 1. The Downtown Historic Preservation Plan is hereby adopted to serve as a guide for <br /> historic preservation efforts downtown; <br /> 2.
