1 RESOLUTION NO A RESOLUTION concerning 2011 Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan and allocations of HOME and Housing Trust Funds -2060 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett recognized the need for certain housing and community development programs in Everett; and WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds have been made available through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide for those programs, and Everett is estimated to be entitled to receive $952,185.95 for 2011; and WHEREAS, through Interlocal agreements, the City of Everett will receive HOME funds and 2060 Housing Trust funds from Snohomish County this year; and. WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development has studied the housing and community development needs and priorities for Everett and has made its recommendations for 2011 CDBG funds; and 2011 2060 Housing Trust funds; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett has reviewed the recommendations from the above committee; and WHEREAS, the first priority for use of HOME funds has been for the Community Housing Improvement Program(CHIP)program for Housing Rehabilitation Loans; and WHEREAS, the 2011 Action Plan has been written in cooperation with the Everett Housing Authority, Snohomish County and local non-profit service providers; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT THAT: 1. Projects to be funded in 2011 Public Service Projects Recommended Advocates for the Rights of Citizens (CDBG) Independent Community Housing $10,500.00 Assistance League(CDBG) Operation School Bell $12;500.00 Camp Fire (CDBG) Camp Scholarship Assistance $3,525.00 Little Red School House (CDBG) Early Intervention $10,000.00 Everett Family YMCA (CDBG) Day Care $5,000.00 Mercy Housing Northwest (CDBG) Service Enriched Housing $8,000.00 Imagine Children's Museum (CDBG) 2 $10,000.00 Imaginate Program
