In August 2008, City Council further amended the Comprehensive <br /> Plan, Rezone and Master Plan for the Providence Everett Medical Center Expansion on the Everett Community <br /> College Property. <br /> The 2008 master plan provided for the construction of a pedestrian bridge over 13th Street and a utility corridor under <br /> l3"' Street. <br /> The pedestrian skybridge will connect the Medical Tower which is located on the south side of 13t1 Street to the <br /> Cancer Center building located on the north side of 13`h Street. The skybridge will be 203 feet long,be approximately <br /> 12 feet wide by 12 1/2 feet tall and provide a minimum clearance of 22 feet above 13th Street. The utility corridor <br /> provides for utility services between the Utility building located on the north side of 13th Street with the hospital and <br /> other facilities located north and south of 13`h Street. <br /> The attached Ordinance providing for the pedestrian skybridge and utility corridor within 13th Street provides: 1) <br /> preservation of the City's rights to use 13th Street right of way for public travel, utilities, and other public purposes; 2) <br /> a term of 50 years with a renewal term for an additional 25 years; and 3) a one-time fee of$30,720 to the City for use <br /> of the 13`h Street right of way. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt Ordinance granting Providence Health & <br /> Services Washington, permission to operate an enclosed pedestrian skybridge and utility corridor within the 13th Street <br /> right of way. 1 3 <br />
