(c) reasonably available methods of mitigating known or potential lead content in drinking water, (d) any steps the system is taking to mitigate lead content in drinking water, and (e) the necessity for seeking alternative water supplies, if any. II. DEFINITION OF LEAD FREE - For purposes of this section, the term "lead free" - 1. when used with respect to solders and flux refers to solders and flux containing not more than 0. 2 percent lead, and 2 . when used with respect to pipes and pipe fittings refers to pipe and pipe fittings containing not more than 8 . 0 percent lead. SECTION 4 : This Ordinance shall not be construed nor held to repeal Ordinance No. 1609 - 89 as to any offense committed against such former ordinance or as to any act done, any penalty, forfeiture or punishment so incurred, or any right accrued or claim arising under the former ordinance, or in any way whatever to affect any such offense or act so committed or so done, or any penalty, forfeiture or punishment so incurred or any right accrued or claim arising before this ordinance takes effect. Nothing contained in this section shall be construed as abating any action now pending under or by virtue of Ordinance No. 1609-89, or as discontinuing, abating, modifying or altering any penalty accrued or to accrue, or as affecting the liability of any person, firm or corporation, or as waiving any right of the City under Ordinance No. 1609-89 or provision thereof in force at the time of passage of this ordinance. Section 5 : The City Council hereby declares that should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance, the Uniform Plumbing Code or the Uniform Plumbing Standards be declared for any reason to be invalid, it is the intent of the City Council that it would have passed all 7
