(c) reasonably available methods of <br /> mitigating known or potential lead <br /> content in drinking water, <br /> (d) any steps the system is taking to <br /> mitigate lead content in drinking water, <br /> and <br /> (e) the necessity for seeking alternative <br /> water supplies, if any. <br /> II. DEFINITION OF LEAD FREE - For purposes of <br /> this section, the term "lead free" - <br /> 1. when used with respect to solders and <br /> flux refers to solders and flux <br /> containing not more than 0. 2 percent <br /> lead, and <br /> 2 . when used with respect to pipes and pipe <br /> fittings refers to pipe and pipe <br /> fittings containing not more than 8 . 0 <br /> percent lead. <br /> SECTION 4 : This Ordinance shall not be construed nor <br /> held to repeal Ordinance No. 1609 - 89 as to any offense <br /> committed against such former ordinance or as to any act <br /> done, any penalty, forfeiture or punishment so incurred, or <br /> any right accrued or claim arising under the former <br /> ordinance, or in any way whatever to affect any such offense <br /> or act so committed or so done, or any penalty, forfeiture <br /> or punishment so incurred or any right accrued or claim <br /> arising before this ordinance takes effect. <br /> Nothing contained in this section shall be construed as <br /> abating any action now pending under or by virtue of <br /> Ordinance No. 1609-89, or as discontinuing, abating, <br /> modifying or altering any penalty accrued or to accrue, or <br /> as affecting the liability of any person, firm or <br /> corporation, or as waiving any right of the City under <br /> Ordinance No. 1609-89 or provision thereof in force at the <br /> time of passage of this ordinance. <br /> Section 5 : The City Council hereby declares that should <br /> any section, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this <br /> ordinance, the Uniform Plumbing Code or the Uniform Plumbing <br /> Standards be declared for any reason to be invalid, it is <br /> the intent of the City Council that it would have passed all <br /> 7 <br />
