• <br /> ORDINANCE NO. /&9— 9o2. 4ti) <br /> EVE?ETT <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending the Zoning Map of the City <br /> of Everett as provided by Ordinance No. 1671-89 as <br /> amended (Title 19, Everett Municipal Code) rezoning the <br /> remaining R-S parcels on the block bounded by Everett <br /> Mall Way, Fourth Avenue W, and 100th Street SW. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that on March 16, 1992, the City of Everett <br /> Land Use Hearing Examiner held a public hearing concerning a rezone <br /> regarding the hereinafter described property from R-S, Residential Suburban to <br /> C-1, General Commercial, and as a result of that hearing, the Examiner <br /> recommends the rezone of said properties from R-S to C-1; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the best interests of the health, safety, <br /> and welfare of the citizens of Everett will be met by this rezone; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the hereinafter described property should <br /> be rezoned to C-1, General Commercial; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That the City Council does hereby find that the zoning change <br /> hereinafter set forth is consistent with the applicable provisions of the Everett <br /> General Plan; bears a substantial relation to the public health, safety and <br /> welfare; and promotes the best long term interests of the Everett community. <br /> Section 2: That the Zoning Map of the City of Everett, as established by <br /> Ordinance No. 1671-89 as amended (Title 19, Everett Municipal Code) is hereby <br /> amended from R-S, Residential Suburban to C-1, General Commercial for the <br /> following described property: <br /> Area A: The north 312 feet of the east 120 feet of the west <br /> 150 feet of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section <br /> 24, Township 28 North, Range 4 East W.M. LESS the north <br /> 10 feet thereof. AND LESS the westerly 6 feet thereof, more <br /> or less, conveyed to the City of Everett for road purposes; <br /> AND ALSO LESS additional right-of-way deeded to the City <br /> of Everett under Auditor's File No. 8803090306. <br /> Together with all that portion of Lot 4, City of Everett Short <br /> Subdivision No. 23-86 lying northerly of a line drawn 150 <br /> feet northwesterly of and parallel to Everett Mall Way SE. <br />
