EYERETT <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1866-92 <br /> AN ORDINANCE establishing regulations regarding <br /> compensatory time and repealing Ordinance No. <br /> 1218-85 and Ordinance No. 1267-86 . <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> SECTION 1 : Compensatory time accrual and usage must be <br /> approved in advance by the employee's supervisor. <br /> SECTION 2 : No compensatory time accrual will be allowed in <br /> excess of eighty (80) hours accrual . <br /> SECTION 3 : No compensatory time shall be allowed for <br /> Department Heads. <br /> SECTION 4 : FLSA NON-EXEMPT EMPLOYEES <br /> A. Compensatory time for non-uniformed employees shall be at <br /> time and one-half for work in excess of forty (40) hours in <br /> a work week unless otherwise designated in an applicable <br /> bargaining agreement. <br /> B. The work period for uniformed employees (fire and police) <br /> shall be twenty-eight (28) days, and compensatory time off <br /> may be allowed in lieu of overtime pay at the rate of one <br /> hour and one-half for each hour worked by Police Department <br /> personnel in excess of one hundred seventy-one (171) hours <br /> during a twenty-eight (28) day work period or in excess of <br /> two hundred twelve (212) hours during a twenty-eight (28) <br /> day work period for Fire Department personnel. <br /> SECTION 5 : FLSA EXEMPT EMPLOYEES <br /> A. Compensatory time shall be at straight time and shall only <br /> be considered for hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours <br /> in a work week. <br /> B. Up to a maximum of eighty (80) hours of compensatory time <br /> shall be cashed out upon an employee' s termination or <br /> separation from the City. <br />
