Assistance is provided with the preparation of the City's timber sales and other forestry management activities that are required by the Wildlife Habitat Management Plan(WHMP). They also assist in the preparation of reports to Federal and State agencies and tribes as required by the WHMP. In addition, Fairweather Forestry will assist in the implementation of the Noxious Weed Management Plan for City lands in the vicinity of Lake Chaplain and the development of the Chaplain Tract Habitat Management Plan. The maximum amount not to be exceeded is $99,923 for this agreement. The present annual Professional Services Agreement expires on June 30, 2011, and a new annual Professional Services Agreement is needed to carry on the forestry work in the Chaplain watershed. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign a Professional Services Agreement with Fairweather Forestry for forestry management and consulting services in the amount of$99,923. 43
