10 <br /> EXHIBIT A-1 <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> CITY OF EVERETT <br /> ENGINEERING SUPPORT SERVICES DURING CONSTRUCTION <br /> FOR <br /> WATER TRANSMISSION LINE 3—PHASE 7 <br /> REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> The work identified herein includes provision for Engineer to provide engineering support <br /> services during construction as authorized by Supplemental Agreement to the Transmission Line <br /> 3 —Phase 7 Replacement Project contract dated August 18, 2010. The City reserves the right to <br /> amend this contract to include subsequent phases of the "Replacement of Water Transmission <br /> Lines 2 and 3 Project"if it so chooses. <br /> Additional services, as directed by the City, and services to be provided by the City are also <br /> identified. <br /> The following scope of work describes the activities to be completed by MWH America's Inc. <br /> (hereinafter referred to as "Service Provider"or"Engineer") and its subconsultants. <br /> SERVICES DURING CONSTRUCTION & UNDEFINED SERVICES <br /> Task 1. Project Management <br /> Manage the entire project scope of work for Tasks 1 through 3 for a period of twelve (12) <br /> months, including monitoring the schedule and budget, making staff assignments to maintain the <br /> project schedule, and general management and coordination of project staff as described below. <br /> 1. Prepare and submit a Project Execution Plan. The Project Execution Plan will assemble <br /> and document the basic plan and procedures to be followed to execute the work and will <br /> include the following: project team organization, team contact list, communication <br /> protocol,scope of work,budget, quality control procedures, and schedule. <br /> 2. The project schedule is assumed to follow the Contractor's submitted Plan of Operation. <br /> The work described herein has been based on a total construction period of 248 working <br /> days and assumed construction Notice to Proceed of June 13, 2011 and construction <br /> completion May 25, 2012. Preparation of Record Drawings will be assumed to extend for <br /> approximately 1.5 months following construction completion. <br /> 3. Manage the project's subconsultants. This subtask includes preparing subconsultant <br /> agreements (amendments), coordination, schedules, and invoicing.
