The pedestrian skybridge will connect the building located at 1100 Pacific Avenue which is on the west side of the alley to the building located at 1114 Pacific Avenue which is on the east side of the alley. The proposed skybridge will be 50 feet long, and will be approximately 8 to 10 feet wide by 12 1/2 feet tall. City staff is prepared to review the proposed skybridge for compatibility within the right-of-way and some preliminary staff comments suggest providing public notice of the proposal in order to provide an opportunity for public comments prior to a formal review. Since the proposed skybridge may only be approved by City Council's passage of an Ordinance, staff is providing a briefing to Council on the proposal and seeking any concerns the Council may have regarding the proposal.
