4
The Harley Owners Group—Puget Sound Chapter of Marysville, WA is sponsoring a 9/11 Patriot Ride in
honor of the events of September 11,2001.
The chapter wants to express their thanks to the men and women of the local fire service and law
enforcement community as well as the armed forces by performing a ride through portions of
Snohomish County. The only way Harley Riders know to accomplish this is with "THUNDERING SOUND"
made from a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle.
Our ride takes us though the city of Everett. As we perform this ride we observe all the traffic laws and
make every attempt to make as little impact to your community as possible. We also like to keep our
group together as much as possible. With safety a priority we ask local law enforcement agencies for
their assistance in keeping our group together. Keeping us together gets us through your city as quickly
and safely as possible.
My request is to have the Everett Police Department help our group with intersections along our route.
We are not asking for a "presidential escort". We are asking with help getting us through the Everett
area along 41st from the Lowell area to Rucker, then north along Rucker past E.F.D. station 1. The group
will turn left on Pacific and then a right on W. Marine View Dr. which takes us past the Naval Station. I
believe once we are onto W. Marine View Drive we should be able to maintain our group until we leave
the City of Everett via SR529.
If the City of Everett cannot provide any assistance we understand. Our riding group has a "plan-B". We
will still be passing through the City of Everett along the described route.
Please inform the Everett Police Department that our ride through the city on Sunday September 11 is
our way of saying thanks.
If you have any further questions or want to discuss this issue please feel free to contact me at any time.
Respectfully Submitted, •
elfin &dot/
Evan Adolf, Honorary Road Captain
Home (425)316-0911
Mobile (425)508-7247
Work(360)668-5357
Work-Direct(360)282-3960
eadolf@firedistrict7.com
12
