The grant amount, $74,182.00, has been awarded with no matching fund <br /> requirement. The grant funds will provide for the following: firearms training simulator equipment, Taser <br /> replacement equipment and supplies, various weapon equipment and supplies, ballistic shields, digital <br /> cameras, digital forensic software, and specialized training funding. The grant program period is October 1, <br /> 2010 through September 30, 2014. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the necessary documents with the United States Department of Justice to accept <br /> the $74,182.00 FY 2011 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant award. <br /> 25 <br />
