Project Funding Agreement 04364 with the Water <br /> Research Foundation,HDR Engineering Inc., and the cities of Seattle and Tacoma aims to evaluate the risk <br /> of occurrence of disruptive species, identify causes of species increase, and provide guidance for monitoring, <br /> modeling and preventing these species. The City of Everett's Water Filter Plant has a long history of being <br /> impacted by the aquatic species Holopedium gibberum. Participating in the collaboration will further the <br /> City's understanding of this species, as well as provide the City with a comprehensive list of possible <br /> solutions. The City will also acquire information about other disruptive aquatic species active in the <br /> Northwest region that may become a nuisance in the future. <br /> The funding for this Agreement is: <br /> Fund 201,Program 200 $50,000.00 <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the Project Funding Agreement 04364"Management of Disruptive Aquatic <br /> Species in Pacific Northwest Drinking Water Supplies". <br /> 37 <br />
