5 • Alternative Analysis, Draft Technical Memorandum, 10 copies Task 300— CS Condition Assessment The purpose of this task is to complete condition assessment of CCTV inspection of approximately 12,120 LF of existing gravity combined sewer pipelines in the project area and to determine side sewer connection points. The focus for sewers between 10 to 80 years in age will entail both condition assessment and side sewer connections. For older sewers, the primary focus will be on side sewer locations. Newer sewers will not be included in this effort. The outcome of this task will include recommendations for CS system rehabilitation, repair, and/or replacement. Assumptions: • The City will perform CCTV inspection with City crews and will provide Consultant with CCTV inspection video, files, PACP reports and other data collected during the inspection effort. • For the purpose of this Scope of Work, it is assumed that the field CCTV field inspection effort will have a duration of approximately 1 month and the City's field crew will provide results in approximately 3 batches of information over that time. • The City will identify and handle imminent problems identified by their CCTV inspections —no consultant involvement necessary. Activities: CS Inspection. The City and Consultant will hold a pre-inspection meeting to coordinate requirements with the Consultant and the CCTV crew. The Consultant will participate in the initial field inspection work (2 days) in order to coordinate with the City's CCTV operator with respect to inspection objectives and assessment methods. It will be important to identify locations of side sewers; identify significant defects; evaluate mainline grade and alignment; and assess side sewer connection point to main line. CS Condition Assessment.The Consultant will review all CCTV digital data, rating conditions of pipes up to 80 years in age using a qualitative rating system of the Consultants' choosing, but similar to spreadsheets prepared by the City on previous projects. Sewers older than 80 years are intended to be replaced, and only require observation of side sewer locations. A Technical Memorandum will be prepared to include the Consultant's condition assessment. The Consultant will present findings and recommendations for CS repair/replacement in one 4-hour workshop. The outcome of the workshop is anticipated to be a list of CS system sections to be repaired or replaced. Deliverables: • CS system Condition Assessment spreadsheet summarizing condition. • CCTV video snapshots of serious defects in any particular run (limited to 10 per run). • Recommendations for repair and/or replacement.
