The only feasible alignment for this <br /> combined sewer force main is along the public right-of-way of Federal Avenue and in an easement in <br /> vacated Everett Avenue. The Washington State Department of Ecology has designated this area as a Model <br /> Toxics Control Act(MTCA) site due to contamination from the historical operations of ExxonMobil and <br /> American Distributing Company.The City has negotiated a Reimbursement Agreement with ExxonMobil <br /> and American Distributing Company for the incremental cost increase of constructing the improvements <br /> through an area that has been contaminated by their historical operations. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the Reimbursement Agreement with ExxonMobil and American Distributing <br /> Company for the Lift Station 2 Force Main Extension Project. <br /> 47 <br />
