The goal is to reduce the number of people killed <br /> or seriously injured by impaired drivers in Snohomish County through aggressive, multi jurisdictional, high- <br /> visibility patrols using an integrated systems approach to traffic safety which is evidenced-based and targets <br /> the locations where the most safety benefit can be realized_ The allocation for the Everett Police <br /> Department's participation in the project is$10,000.00 for activities between November 1,2011 and June 30, <br /> 2012. The memorandum of understanding sets forth the requirements for the Everett Police Department to <br /> participate in the project and receive the allotted funding_ <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the 2011 Memorandum of Understanding with the Washington Traffic Safety <br /> Commission and accept the allotted funds of$10,000.00 for the participation in the Target Zero Teams <br /> project. <br /> 133 <br />
